Guowen Liu is a Professor of Jilin University, the PI of Animal Nutrition Metabolic Disease Research Center in Jilin University. Dr. Liu earned his Bachelor's degree from Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities in 1997, and received his Ph.D. from Jilin University in 2004. He is member of Chinese Society of Veterinary Internal Medicine and member of Chinese Society of Animal Toxicology. His recent interests include pathological mechanism of ketosis, fatty liver, SARA and hypocalcemia of dairy cows, and molecular mechanism of nutrient metabolism homeostasis. In recent years, presided more than 10 projects form the National Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Science and Technology. More than 80 papers have been published in important international journals, such as J Dairy Sci, J Cell Physiol, Br J Pharmacol, Front Cell Dev Biol, etc.

Research Interests:

·The molecular mechanism of Animal Nutritional and Metabolic Disorders (Cow: ketosis, fatty liver, SARA, hypocalcemia)

·The mechanism role of Autophagy, Oxidative stress, Inflammation, Mitochondrial dysfunction, Endoplasmic reticulum stress, and Intestinal flora in the fatty liver, diabetes, and obesity.
