On the morning of June 28, 2021, the Land, production-university-research Cooperation project docking symposium between the College of Veterinary Medicine of Jilin University and Meihekou University was held in the conference room on the third floor of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Mou Dapeng, Deputy Secretary of Meihekou Municipal Committee, Acting Mayor and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Zheng Weitao, Executive Vice President of Jilin University, Liu Mingyuan, Dean of College of Veterinary Medicine, Luo Jiahui, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Li Jianhua, Vice president of Graduate School, Wang Hualei, Vice president of Scientific Research, Li He, Director of Office of Scientific Research and Graduate School, Mo Xiaobing, Director of Instrument Center, Wu Xueqin, Vice president of Zhongru Construction Engineering Group and others attended the symposium.
At the symposium, Liu Mingyuan, on behalf of the College of Veterinary Medicine, introduced the overall situation of the college from disciplines, talents, scientific research strength, platform construction and other aspects. Mo Xiaobing, as the person in charge of this project, reported the work and research progress of the government-industry-university-research cooperation project with Zhongru Construction Engineering Group and Sihui Biotechnology Co., LTD. Wu Xueqin, vice president of Zhongru Construction Engineering, the investor of the project, affirmed the scientific research strength of the College of Veterinary Medicine of Jilin University and was full of confidence in this cooperation. Mou Dapeng introduced the situation of Meihekou on behalf of the Meihekou Municipal government. In line with the idea of supporting industrial development, he planned to expand the competitiveness of the regional biomedical industrial park, improve the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the existing biopharmaceutical industry, and promote the cooperation project. Meanwhile, he hoped that Jilin University could provide support, accelerate the progress, build joint laboratories and pilot workshops, and carry out research on veterinary vaccine project. As soon as possible, the scientific research achievements of the College of Veterinary medicine will blossom and bear fruit in the Mei Estuary. Zheng Weitao, on behalf of Jilin University, welcomed the arrival of the distinguished alumni Mayor Mou and his delegation, and said that it is our duty to serve the local schools. We will provide support from school policies, laboratory construction, graduate student indicators and other aspects, and do a good job in ensuring the implementation of the project. At the same time, we hope that the College of Veterinary Medicine will play a leading and exemplary role in transporting talents and establishing a base for Meihekou. To serve the local development and the overall revitalization of Jilin Province contribution.
