Dr.Yang obtained his Ph.D. at the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He then worked at the Department of Microbiology & Immunology & Pediatrics, Dalhousie University in Canada as a postdoctoral fellow from 2005 to 2009. He received a Supporting Plan for New Century Outstanding Talents of the Ministry of Education and came back to the College of Veterinary Medicine, Jilin University in 2010. His findings have been published in Journal of Experimental Medicine, Mucosal Immunology, Frontiers in Immunology, Journal of Infectious Diseases, The American Journal of Pathology, The Journal of Biological Chemistry, etc.
Research Interests：
His laboratory aims to understand the interactions between bacteria and host innate immunity, including
(1) the crosstalk between microbiota and host to maintain mucosal integrity and immune balance;
(2) the discovery and application of bioactive substances derived from symbiotic bacteria.
